Publicity & Marketing Associate, Forever
Summary:
Forever, an imprint of Grand Central Publishing (a division of Hachette Book Group) is seeking creative & enthusiastic Publicity & Marketing Associate to join our marketing and publicity department. Hybrid marketing & publicity roles in publishing are unique; this position will include being a part of multi-person book campaigns as well as some solo campaigns on a diverse mix of commercial novels, including romance, romantasy, and highly commercial book club fiction. This will encompass media and event outreach, creating and collaborating on newsletters and social media content, and building and nurturing our community of readers. Forever is a mighty team that loves to collaborate, stay on top of the latest trends, and deliver innovative campaigns that equate to results. This position reports to the Sr. Director of Marketing and Publicity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Planning and execution of publicity and marketing campaigns for select Forever titles.
- Developing, researching, and maintaining strong relationships with media contacts, book tastemakers, and booksellers.
- Creating fresh and strategic content for Forever’s social media platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok), as well as working with the team to manage and grow the Forever community on these platforms.
- Attentive and clear communication with editors, authors, and agents.
- General responsibilities: database maintenance, review copy mailings, website updates, and other departmental organizational tasks.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Interest in book publishing is essential, especially a broad range of commercial fiction
- 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- College degree preferred.
- A team player with great written and in-person communication habits who understands the importance of brand voice.
- Passionate about connecting with consumers via social media
- Experience on social media platforms, Canva, and openness to learning new technology.
- Ability to transition from innovative brainstorming to action.
- Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
- Bonus: a willingness to be on camera and a love of photography.

The compensation for this position is $53,000-$58,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects.
